The coach educators from Real Madrid Foundation's social sports schools in Mozambique were given on-site training sessions on football and values by the Foundation's Training Department. Some 1,700 people at risk of social exclusion receive values education using sport with support from the Salesian Missions and CESAL in Maputo and Crusade for Children in Gorongosa.

Twelve coaches attended the training session in Maputo and 33 people took part in Gorongosa. Through this initiative, those taking part learnt about the the Real Madrid Foundation's educational philosophy and methodology, Por una educación REAL: Valores y deporte For a REAL education: Values and sport. Both sessions developed in a very favourable way, putting the training sessions into practice with the pupils throughout the training days.

Schools in Mozambique
The Real Madrid Foundation carries out three social sports schools in Mozambique. Together with the Salesian Missions, in the city of Maputo, at the San José de Lhanguene Mission School, over a hundred boys and girls take part in football, basketball and values session, and are given school support and social and family assistance as part of the project.

The neighbouring district of Xipamanine sees the Khandelo Association's social centre run a socio-sports school with CESAL's support, for around 800 children and young people at risk of exclusion.  Multiple activities in support of children take place here, including language learning, computer training, school support, library service and other leisure and recreational activities. The project is run in Gorogonsa National Park in conjunction with Crusade for Children, with the main objective of preserving the environment and encouraging girls to stay in school.
