The Real Madrid Foundation attends COB Expo 2023 in Sao Paulo
They appeared alongside Fundación Mapfre for a panel discussion on Sporting Entities and Social Marketing.
The Real Madrid Foundation has taken part in the COB Expo 2023 Conference, South America's leading sports business event which was held in Sao Paulo this week. The Foundation presented the educational, social sports and educational sports programs it oversees as part of a panel discussion on Sporting Entities and Social Marketing. The panel was completed by Fátima Lima, Mapfre Brazil's Head of Sustainability; Sérgio Perrella, Licensing Vice-President of NBA Latin America; and Jonathan Sumers, Cleveland Cavaliers' Vice-President of Operations and Sports.
The Real Madrid Foundation and the Fundación Mapfre have collaborated since 2010 to run social sports schools in Brazil, El Salvador and Panama. The alliance has been renewed on a continual basis and currently supports Real Madrid Foundation projects in Brazil, El Salvador, the USA, Panama, Paraguay, Peru and the Dominican Republic.
The Real Madrid Foundation's presence in Brazil is consolidated season after season. Indeed, the country has seen some of the greatest growth in the numbers of beneficiaries across South America. This season there are 10 locations running the Educational Football Program, a yearly project overseen by the Foundation that caters for more than 1,300 students, supported by OC Merchandising. It also runs football clinics in collaboration with Grupo Palladium.
