NEWS.
The ImmunoKids Foundation, an Immunotec subsidiary, announced that it has entered into a collaboration agreement to support the sustainability of the Real Madrid Foundation's children's basketball programme at the Puerta de Hierro Hospital in Madrid. The agreement was signed by Real Madrid Foundation's Executive Vice-President Enrique Sánchez and Immunotec's CEO Mauricio Domenzain, at an event attended by Real Madrid's Director of Institutional Relations, Emilio Butragueño.

The Real Madrid Foundation's programme in hospitals provides care for children who are hospitalised for long periods of time due to oncological processes or transplants in paediatrics. Puerta de Hierro Hospital in Madrid also provides care for children and teenagers in psychiatry. The aim of the programme is to maintain their link with sport, to escape from their hospital environment and to learn positive values from sport that can help them emotionally in their recovery, such as motivation for self-improvement, self-esteem, respect, teamwork and independence. For two decades, the programme has been running in more than 12 hospitals in the Community of Madrid, together with the Regional Ministry of Health and the medical staff at each hospital.
