The Foundation unveils clinics in Vietnam, organised by Global Football Management
Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Phu Yen are the venues for almost 250 youngsters who will experience the programme for the first time in the country.
The Real Madrid Foundation has announced the first football and values clinics that will take place in Vietnam in conjunction with Global Football Management GFM, along with the support of the local organisation UMT University of Management and Technology and Abbott Vietnam. It will get underway this week in Ho Chi Minh City, at The American School, and continue in the cities of Hanoi San Bong Xuan La Stadium and Phu Yen Duy Tan School. The first 250 children will be given the chance to experience an education and sports mentoring programme which combines the teaching of values, learning and development in football. The proceeds generated by these activities will be used to support the social and sporting projects that the Foundation is carrying out in Asia for children at risk of exclusion.
The inauguration event was attended by the economic and commercial counsellor from the Spanish Commercial Bureau, the vice-president of the Vietnam Sports Council and the councillor for sport of the Ho Chi Minh City Council. The director of the Real Madrid Foundation's campuses and clinics, Andrés Muntaner, travelled to Ho Chi Minh City to launch this project, which belongs to the educational sport promotion activities as a means of integral education for people from childhood onwards. He was also there in order to work with GFM and UMT on the programme for 2024 following the success of this first edition.
