The Real Madrid Foundation and Elite Sport Experience are set to roll out a Football Program at Tabiya School, which belongs to the Ta’allum education group, in Qatar. The project combines the Real Madrid Foundation’s educational methodology, Por una Educación REAL: Valores y deporte For a REAL education: values and sport, with elements of advanced technical training from the Real Madrid academy as a part of the physical and sporting education of youngsters aged between five and 17.

Emilio Butragueño, director of institutional relations at Real Madrid, and Julio González Ronco, managing director of the Foundation, welcomed Diego Pereira, founder of Elite Sport Experience, to Real Madrid City. The programme is set to be launched in May and will involve the support of Sports Corner, which will supply sports equipment. The aim in this first year is for the programme to cater for over 150 participants.

Butragueño explained that “It’s really important that children have fun when they play, whilst also being taught values that help to form a personality that makes them more competitive for all of the challenges that lie ahead in their personal lives.” For his part, Pereira shared his excitement at the prospect of the new project: “We’re really excited to be part of the Real Madrid Foundation and take up the responsibility in a country that this year welcomes the World Cup and the whole world will have its eyes on this city.”

The Real Madrid Foundation's Football Program is designed for schools and educational institutions and is adapted to each stage of player development in a specialist football environment. The programme is already running in Japan, Singapore, the Dominican Republic, Uzbekistan, South Korea, Egypt and Brazil and is soon to be launched in the USA, Qatar and Oman.
