The Real Madrid Foundation's 25th anniversary was celebrated this morning at World Football Summit Europe 2022, the international football industry congress held in Seville, with a special panel discussion entitled  'Football as a social tool: education, cooperation and inclusion' that served to showcase the Foundation's social outreach work:. Attendees gained a first-hand insight into the work carried out by the organisation, which oversees the club's corporate social activities across the five continents.

Julio González Ronco, who serves as managing director at the Foundation, hosted the panel discussion, in which he emphasised the solidarity displayed by Real Madrid fans since the club's foundation. A round-table discussion was also held that featured a series of key Real Madrid Foundation partners, including Julio Domingo de Souto, general director of the Mapfre Foundation; Francisco Gabriel Sanchez Parodi, secretary of the Spanish Red Cross in Andalusia; Pablo Llano, director of strategy and development at the international NGO Cesal; and Alejandro Fernández de las Peñas, commercial manager at the La Caixa Foundation.

Values-based education
The Real Madrid Foundation's activities revolve around instilling a values-based education through sport, with sport used as a tool for social intervention, development cooperation and the promotion of inclusive sport. This approach sees the organisation contribute to improving the lives of those in greatest need.
