The children and teenagers enjoying a clinic with the Real Madrid Foundation in Chicago this week received a visit from JC Rivera, the Puerto Rican artist based in the city, who collaborated with Adidas in the artist pack project that the brand launched last season. The attendees were also able to participate in the open-door training session that Real Madrid offered at Soldier Field Stadium.

Among the training activities complementary to the clinic was the presentation of the Adidas initiative, which aims to raise the visibility of the Foundation's socio-educational projects. Last year, the initiative visited schools in Oaxaca (Mexico), clinics in New York (USA), and one of the inclusive sports projects in Madrid, where different artists collaborated by donating their work for a future charity auction.

JC Rivera
This time around, it was some children from Chicago who enjoyed the talk with JC Rivera, known especially for his creation Bear Champ (the bear with boxing gloves to break down barriers) and his collaboration with the Chicago Bulls. He is one of the most renowned contemporary artists and an example of self-improvement and integration into American society. Rivera has been collaborating with Adidas special designs since 2020.

On 6 August, the Real Madrid players will wear a unique and supportive shirt in their pre-season match in the United States; a special and limited edition of the new kit, which features a fragment of JC Rivera's work in the numbers. The aim of this special and unique edition is to raise the profile of the socio-educational projects that the Real Madrid Foundation is developing in the United States for the integration of first and second generation migrant children. This is achieved through educational sport, a mission that Adidas also supports with the sponsorship of the Foundation's eLearning platform, Sport Values Academy TV.

Charity auctions
Both the jshirts worn by the players in the match as well as the paintings that each artist has made on these visits will be auctioned off for the benefit of the Foundation's socio-sports schools in the USA, Mexico and Spain. In the USA, the Foundation is developing 120 clinics this summer and 13 permanent socio-sports schools in collaboration with local entities and NGOs in Colorado, Florida, Massachusetts and Virginia. These organisations serve first and second generation immigrant children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds, turning sport into an instrument of social inclusion through training in values.
