Linares Chamber of Commerce and the Foundation reach an agreement to promote entrepreneurship in Sportech.
The business accelerator La Mina Startup has launched an entrepreneurship, technology and sport programme in collaboration with the Sport Values Academy.
The Real Madrid Foundation's deputy director general, Iker Casillas, paid a visit to the business accelerator La Mina, part of the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services of Linares Jaén. He was welcomed there by the president of the entity, José María Villén, in order to sign the collaboration agreement between the two entities.
This agreement kicks off the first training experience in sports technology and entrepreneurship developed by the Real Madrid Foundation in collaboration with a business accelerator in Spain La Mina Startup. The agreement involves the creation of the first entrepreneurship, technology and educational sport programme, through the Real Madrid Foundation's Sportech School.
Training
The training programme is being organised by La Mina and the Real Madrid Foundation's Training Area, through Sport Values Academy TV the Foundation's interactive omnichannel platform. The programme will include streaming and face-to-face sessions tackling seven knowledge modules on technological applications related to the field of educational sport: apps, big data, GPS, neuroscience, connectivity, etc.
Casillas highlighted: 'The use of technology in the field of sport, be it in educational sport or in professional sport, is becoming a reality that cannot be stopped. Our belief is that educational sport in values can improve people's lives and tools that helps us to improve the performance and efficiency of this reality, will be looked at to deploy them'.
Villén said: 'Sport and business have shared values like hard work, perseverance and constant innovation, and these values favour the creation of opportunities and the development of a more dynamic and competitive economy. Generating opportunities for the future is the main goal of the Linares Chamber of Commerce and to ensure this, starting today, we're going to work in partnership with the Real Madrid Foundation'.
The Mina Startup encompasses the necessary elements for SMEs and entrepreneurs to promote innovation, competitiveness, technology transfer and support for new business projects, including the digital transformation office, business acceleration and incentive programmes and a technology showroom. The Sportech La Mina School with the Real Madrid Foundation join forces with these services.
