The Foundation has a new social and sporting project in Indonesia together with the Harapan Project
It will reach out to nearly 300 children in nine locations on the island of Sumbawa.
The Real Madrid Foundation and the NGO Harapan Project will be working together on a new social sporting project in Indonesia aimed at helping more than 300 children. The NGO Harapan Project is working in the district of Hu'u, province of Dompu, an island of Sumbawa (Nusa Tenggara Barat), one of the most impoverished regions of Indonesia, to provide care for a population with limited access to education and health care. There, the Real Madrid Foundation's new partner provides assistance to nearly 5,000 children at risk of exclusion in 19 places on the island.
Training of local coach educators
Following the prospecting and signing of the collaboration, the training of local coach educators is now being carried out so that this new collaboration can bear fruit in October to bring sport and its values to around 300 of these boys and girls, aged between 9 and 17. This is all part of a project to provide integrated care for children in need.
Nine locations on the island
The new school, which has nine sites on the island, is designed to help educate the children to lead healthy lifestyles, reducing the associated risk factors for their well-being and health in a region particularly affected by drugs, malnutrition and disease.
