Real Madrid Foundation promotes education in values in Hungary
Training sessions were held for coaches-educators of the Real Tanoda project school and the Puskás Akadémia.
The Real Madrid Foundation held the 2nd Training Workshop on Football, Basketball and Education in Values for coaches-educators of the Puskás Akadémia and the Real Tanoda project's socio-sports school, which serves 80 beneficiaries, including children in vulnerable situations. It consisted of a practical workshop format, with the aim of providing tools that can be applied directly in training sessions with children and adolescents.
The participants, many of whom are already familiar with the For REAL Education: Values and Sport methodology, worked on identifying and designing activities that help to encourage positive behaviour during sport. During the conference, the educators had the opportunity to put their proposals into practice with the students of the Real Tanoda socio-sports basketball school and with the Puskás Akadémia beginners' teams. This enabled the learning process to be more comprehensive, combining theory with experience, observation and joint reflection.
Notable highlights
One of the most valued aspects was the teachers' willingness to transfer the tools learned to their sessions, the creation of meaningful learning and the use of decision-making and problem-solving as part of the training. The importance of designing games and tasks adapted to the reality of football and basketball, which, in addition to improving sporting performance, promote motivation and student reflection, was also highlighted.
The Real Tanoda project, in operation since 2009, includes, in addition to football and basketball training under the methodology of the Real Madrid Foundation, a series of complementary activities that cover the needs of the beneficiaries. Particularly noteworthy is the work carried out with former beneficiaries, who are considered a reference for current beneficiaries and agents of change in their communities.
