Gonvarri Colombia, the Concívica Foundation and the Real Madrid Foundation, working together in Itagüí (Colombia)
Dozens of beneficiaries participate in a programme that promotes integral development through sport, fostering fundamental values such as respect, solidarity and companionship.
The Real Madrid Foundation, Gonvarri Colombia and the Concívica Foundation have renewed their collaboration agreement for the second consecutive year to continue developing the socio-sports school in Itagüí, Colombia. This project uses football as an educational and social transformation tool for children and young people, promoting learning values and equal opportunities.
Thanks to this alliance, dozens of beneficiaries participate in a programme that promotes integral development through sport, fostering fundamental values such as respect, solidarity and companionship. The school has established itself as a safe space for coexistence, personal growth and well-being for the children and their families.
In October, a day was held to hand out uniforms at the socio-sports school, in an emotional event that brought together 60 participants, children of Gonvarri employees and children from the San Fernando neighbourhood community, accompanied by their families. Gonvarri representatives said: "This project not only teaches them to play, but also to grow up with values. It reaffirms our commitment to the community and to making a positive impact on our environment, building opportunities that transform lives."
An example of an effective tool for transmitting values
The renewal of this partnership reflects the success of working together with companies and organisations committed to children and values education. This socio-sports school is an example of how football and basketball can become effective tools for education, development, cooperation and inclusion. Through its own educational programme ‘For a Real Education: values and sport’, the Real Madrid Foundation designs specific projects to improve the quality of life of people that will have an impact on the development of their communities.
