The Real Madrid Foundation traveled to Maputo (Mozambique) during the month of May to conduct training sessions in football, basketball, and values with the aim of further strengthening the application of its methodology in the social sports schools it operates in the country.

The schools serve more than 600 children in Mozambique and are developed in two main areas of action. On one hand, in the Gorongosa National Park, with the support of the NGO Crusade for the Children, where the program is implemented in four communities in the park's buffer zone, with a unique focus on girls' education and women's empowerment.

On the other hand, it works in Maputo, through collaboration with Salesian Missions, at its educational center located on the outskirts of the capital, with a focus on working with family role models to support vulnerable populations; and with the Khandlelo Association in the Xipamanine neighborhood, an area with a high population density and a lack of basic services such as water, sanitation, and educational and recreational resources.

A participatory and collaborative approach
The training was characterized by a participatory and collaborative approach that facilitated the exchange of experiences among the different teams. Technicians and coordinators worked in an integrated manner, strengthening the understanding of the Real Madrid Foundation and its adaptation to the Mozambican educational, social, and sports context. Continuous training is a key element to ensure a sustainable educational impact and an intervention adapted to the reality of each community. These activities are supported by Azulmarino, a sponsor of the Real Madrid Foundation's training and supervision trips.
