Training of coaches in the Foundation's schools in Romania
The aim is to keep strengthening the educational quality and methodology of the project.
The Real Madrid Foundation, in collaboration with its local partner FDP - Protagonist in Education, has developed a Football Training Days in its socio-sports schools in Romania, with the aim of further strengthening the educational and methodological quality of the project.
The school currently assists around 70 beneficiaries and has been applying the methodology ‘For a Real Education: Values and Sport’ in the football discipline since it was set up. On this occasion, the programme was aimed at the 12 coaches of the three socio-sports schools.
The training put special emphasis on reinforcing the transmission of values through sport, promoting that this learning transcends the field of play and is integrated into the daily lives of the participants. Throughout the practical sessions, a rapid evolution in the design and structure of the tasks and training sessions was observed, reflecting the cohesion of the group and its commitment to continuous improvement.
Consolidation
The Bucharest socio-sports schools have consolidated their activity initiated in 2012 with the opening of a new school in the municipality of Cojasca, which has made it possible to increase the number of beneficiaries in vulnerable situations, especially among minors of Roma ethnicity.
Latest developments
Highlights include the Roalmania Tournaments, inspired by the Real Madrid Foundation's Alma Cup, and the child protection workshops and specific initiatives aimed at girls, in line with the programme's gender focus. The project is financially sustainable thanks to the support of the UPS Foundation, and educational innovation through the incorporation of the LU System programme, aimed at encouraging more participatory learning.
