Felipe Reyes visits Real Madrid Foundation basketball campus
The madridista legend took part in a training session with over 200 children at Real Madrid City.
Felipe Reyes has joined training at the social sports summer basketball campus run by the Real Madrid Foundation. More than 200 students had the chance to play basketball alongside the madridista legend, take photographs with him and ask questions about his career and how to improve their skills, with the key takeaway being, "the main thing is to give it your all every day."
Felipe Reyes encouraged the participants to keep practicing their favourite sport, learning values like respect, team spirit and self-esteem which will serve them in their futures away from the court. "Over the next few weeks of learning, you'll have the chance to get to know kids from other places with whom you share the same passion, at these incredible facilities where the first team and academy sides all train, so it's sure to be great fun," he underlined.
Fourteenth edition
The social sports basketball campus organised and hosted by the Real Madrid Foundation's Basketball Department takes place in unparalleled facilities and is this year celebrating its fourteenth edition. Besides sports and academic tuition, both the coordinators and coaches qualified in sports science and/or holding diplomas in physical education and specialised in basketball are professionals boasting significant teaching experience. Many of them have spent several years at the Real Madrid Foundation's social sports basketball schools and have received full training in the organisation's pioneering methodology.
