Children from the socio-sports school at the Real Madrid Foundation in Sao Paulo, Brazil, were involved in a unique event made possible thanks to the collaboration of the Renovatio association. Free ophthalmological check-ups were performed for the children and coaches, and prescription glasses were provided for those who needed them. The initiative was carried out as it was discovered that some of the children's self-esteem and self-confidence had been impaired due to poor eyesight.

Those who benefit from the socio-sports school are children who come from dysfunctional and low-income families, and they attend the Don Bosco centre of the Misiones Salesianas. Through sports, they are educated on values that help them to break out of the situation of risk of social exclusion affecting them. To this end, they must be enrolled and attend school, and receive school support, snacks and medical check-ups, which are crucial for their health.
