The third-deputy mayor of San Fernando de Henares Madrid, Cristina Cepeda, welcomed Real Madrid ambassador and Under-19s coach Álvaro Arbeloa and Exolum's Spain Region Lead Jorge Guillén to the social sports football school for integration that has been run in the town since 2010.

The delegation had the chance to witness how the children continue to enjoy their favourite sport for yet another year, using a teaching methodology based around an education in values for integration. The school caters for young people aged between 5 and 17 years old, whatever their circumstances or abilities. The beneficiaries of this project enjoy a part or full scholarship thanks to the support of Exolum and the collaboration of the Town Hall, both from their Sports and Social Services Departments.

Arbeloa
“Sport teaches you values for life and the right for children to play is a basic pillar of comprehensive personal development. This is why it forms part of the Sustainable Development Goals we are all working towards to build a better world."

Cristina Cepeda reflected: “This project is a source of pride, both for the Town Hall and the residents here, because sport helps to transmit important values such as tolerance, equality and respect. Exolum's representative, Jorge Guillén, underlined: “This project embodies two of Exolum's central pillars to which the company is deeply committed: diversity and inclusion. It also promotes fundamental values like tolerance and social cohesion, which play a vital role in our modern society."
