Tavares, MVP in last year’s Spanish Super Cup, spoke ahead of the training session before the match against Barça this evening 18.30pm CEST. The centre had the following to say on the Clásico: “We've come here with the same enthusiasm as the last five years that we've won. We want to show that we're at the same level, that we can compete and step up a gear in the Super Cup to try to win the trophy.”
“We've had very little time to prepare for everything, but we're going to fight and do our best to win the Super Cup. We have a lot of guys who have already won this trophy and that might be important for the match. We've kept the same squad and that's going to help us a lot.”

“I feel very good and the World Cup has helped me to get in top form. Every year, I try to improve and go one step further. I was really looking forward to getting back to Madrid, to feeling the adrenaline of playing important matches. We want to delight the people and win as many trophies as possible.”
