Musa: “It's very important to win the first game at home'
“The team is coming into the most important stage of the season in good shape,' stated Hezonja.
Musa and Hezonja spoke to the press in the build-up to Real Madrid's first EuroLeague playoff game against Partizan Belgrade, set for this Tuesday at the WiZink Center 8:45pm CEST. The Bosnian forward assessed the series: "It's the first time I'll be involved in a EuroLeague playoff and it's special. We're well prepared to take on tough opposition and we have to take it game by game. The League win over Joventut has given us confidence and now we have to prepare well for the first game. These games are decided on small details."
“Partizan have a great coach and real chemistry, experience and energy in the team. I think they're one of the best sides in Europe but if we're ready, focused and play like we know we can, we're tough to beat. Every game is a final in the playoffs and it's always hugely important to win the first one, especially when it's at home in front of our fans."
Hezonja: “We're up against tough opposition”
“This is the most important stage of the season and the EuroLeague playoffs are starting. We're up against very tough opponents who are playing really well. We're at the pinnacle of the season and the win over Joventut was important for team morale."
Little recovery time
“I don't think the team has any issues, we're in good form. I've never complained about the calendar. We have to play and be at 100% in every game, there has never been any doubt. We needed a little time to find the best in all of the players we have. We understand each other better now, new guys came in and that always needs a bit of time."
