Laso: “We face a tough game against Maccabi and we have to recover after the effort we put in'
NEWS.
Pablo Laso and Williams-Goss spoke to the club's official channels to analyse the key areas ahead of Game 2 in the EuroLeague play-off between Real Madrid and Maccabi. The madridista coach had the following to say: “It's better to start a playoff with a win, but that game is now over and we are 1-0 up. We’ll face a difficult game and have to recover after the effort we put in. We can only make small tweaks. I think that everyone is available”.

“In these types of situations, experience counts for a great deal and I hope that it's positive. We can't go resting on our laurels. We have to put yesterday's game behind us. We’ve managed to do that on many occasions and we headed into the playoff knowing that things can go well or otherwise, but you always have to think about the next game. We’ll have to look at the areas in which we can improve”.

Key areas
“We failed to claim some rebounds, but we did well in defense. We’ll have to be clear about the situations that Maccabi might put us in. We’ve got to analyse those situations. We managed to reduce their tempo and not give away silly turnovers, which are generally important aspects. We have to continue to do that and improve on those things”.

Fans will again play a key role
“The way the fans backed us last night was key and they were magnificent. Home-court advantage is an important factor. We’ll give them that energy to get behind us. There’ll be a great atmosphere and the fans will really get behind us and we need them”.

Williams Goss: “We’ll have to be at our best”
“We're training to recover because we're in between two games. We'll have to show energy, focus and not tire mentally and make mistakes that they can capitalise on”.
“I love these situations and big matches and big moments. We’ll have to be at our best and fight hard. This is the best part of the season and is what you prepare for. We now have to enjoy it and try and get as far as we can”.
