Laso: 'It's always important to start a playoff series in winning fashion'
NEWS.
Pablo Laso spoke to the press to discuss the second game of the league playoff semifinals between Real Madrid and Baskonia at the WiZink Center 6:00pm CEST: “It's always important to start a playoff series in winning fashion. If you have home-court advantage you want to maintain it and if you don't, you want to make up that ground in the series. After that, it's simple a game with a hard-fought win which will set the tone for the rest of the series".

"They're different games and I'm sure we'll see that completely tomorrow. Baskonia have real quality, versatile players, the ability to score points and create good play. The team did a brilliant job at adapting to the circumstances of the game and we know tomorrow will be just as, if not more difficult than the first".

Adjustments
“There are always changes from one game to the next, that's normal. The games won't be the same, the accuracy on the shooting, the rebound… I'm sure both teams will try and improve things in the second game. It's also true that in just 48 hours you can't switch the team on and off like a sock, you have to adapt. There will probably be changes, we'll try to make adjustments but there isn't time to change the whole look of the team".

Game one keys
“I hope we can have the same levels as accuracy as we did in the first game. There are other days when you might play well but they just don't go in. Yesterday we hit a lot of baskets and that allowed us to keep our advantage.
Particularly due to the accuracy at the start of the third quarter, which really helped us build a good lead. We have to improve on offensive and defensive elements, regardless of the fact we won the game. Situations that will see us have a more solid game and control the rhythm a bit better”.
