Laso: “It's a different competition from now on and we have to be ready”
“We played really well in the first half, but we disappeared in the last quarter”, added the coach.
Pablo Laso analysed the Real Madrid-Bayern Munich clash, in the final round of the EuroLeague regular season. The madridista coach had the following to say: 'It was a strange game. We played really well in the first half and we were very solid both in attack and defence. The third quarter was the most even, and they were getting better and better. Then we disappeared in the last quarter'.
'When you lose you always look at the bad things, but I think we produced a pretty good first half. We have another important game on Sunday. We‘ve been training for home advantage throughout the season. It's a different competition from now on and we have to be ready to take on one of the best teams in Europe'.
'I’d like to have a clear answer, but it's not easy. We’re lacking the consistency that we clearly don't have. We lacked soul in the last ten minutes. These situations happen because you stop believing. I don't understand the situation and the fact that we have this feeling of pressure and then have a bad fourth quarter and lose. I'm the first person who thinks I have to focus on what happened in the last quarter. We’re a team and suddenly we stopped being a team'.
