Laso: “It was a really good defensive display'
“Río Breogán are having a great season and they made it tough for us”, said Tavares.
Pablo Laso and Tavares assessed Real Madrid's win over Río Breogán in the Copa del Rey quarter-finals. The madridista coach reflected: “We knew this was going to be a very difficult game. Breogán are playing at a very high level but we didn't let them run. We brought their numbers down well and it was a really good defensive display".
“They grew into the game on the rebound in the second half and they managed to hit a few triples and easy baskets too. If we could have dominated that area, we would have had better control over the game. Offensively, we were pretty good".
