Chus Mateo: 'You always have to take Madrid's character into account'
'It wasn't easy to win in Vitoria but we fought until the end,' he said after the victory over Baskonia.
Chus Mateo spoke to the media about Real Madrid's win over Baskonia on the opening day of the Euroleague: "It wasn't easy to win in Vitoria because they are a very competitive team. Today we fought hard, we had injured players and problems with fouls. We made few losses at the end, only two, and we defended Howard well."
"We were good on our outside shooting, which was the key to being able to be in the right place at the end of the game. We didn't play a great game, but they got hold of the last few rebounds and we played some great defence in the last quarter."
