Chus Mateo: “We're driven by ambition and the desire to reach the final”
“It will be a different game and we have to be focused from the start,” said the coach ahead of the fourth semi-final clash (Monday, 9 pm CET).
Chus Mateo spoke ahead of the fourth semi-final clash against Joventut, which will be played on Monday at the Olímpico de Badalona stadium 9 pm CET: “Momentum is important and we want to continue in the same vein as the previous game. We have to sustain the energy because we feel good. Now we focus on what's to come because tomorrow's game will be different and we have to be focused from the start.”
“We're at the end of the season and fatigue is taking its toll on us, but we're driven by ambition and the desire to keep winning and to reach the final. We're on a good run this season, but we want to finish it off by winning the league. We mustn't get complacent and we have to keep working hard. Playing a game every other day is wearing the team out.”
Defence
“Defending as a team is crucial. There are players who are solely focused on defending Guy, but that doesn't mean that only they are doing well. There are players with great quality at Joventut like Feliz, Parra, Vives, Birgander and Tomic. That's why we have to be aware of all of them and team defence will be key again.”
