Chus Mateo: “We'll have to play well to win in Manresa”
NEWS.
Chus Mateo and Sergio Llull analysed the clash between Real Madrid and Baxi Manresa on matchday 2 in the league Friday, 9:00pm CEST. The coach explained: “We are solely and exclusively focused on the game against Manresa. Not only are they a team who play great basketball and have several plays nailed down, but they are at home and it's not an easy place to go. We'll have to play really well if we want to win it."

“They play very fast, they're well coached and have players on the outside who can overrun you, with centers capable of opening up the court to shoot. We have to be fully focused and aware we're coming up against seasoned opponents. They made life very tough for Gran Canaria in the first game, we have to be ready."

Winning run in Manresa
“That's in the past. What we've achieved so far is fantastic and it's there in the statistics. But all I'm bothered about is this game and it's starting at zero-zero. We have to fight hard from the first minute and defend well as a unit."
Squad
“We're really pleased with the work being done by the squad we have. It's a very long season with so many games and we'll have to see how we manage it. We're still without Alocén. We'll go through periods where we have guys out but for now, it's just about coming through the game against Manresa.'

Llull: “It will be a really tough game”
“Going back to Manresa is always special for me because of how much they helped me and the way they treated me. It will be a really tough game, like all of them at the Nou Congost with fans who really put the pressure on and against a team who play at a high pace. We'll have to be on it if we want to win.'

Schedule
“The team is in good shape, hungry and motivated. We know full well it will be a very long season and the whirlwind of games is upon us, playing every other day. But we have a big squad, we're used to this kind of tough calendar and we're just focusing on the next game and picking up wins.'
