Chus Mateo: "We were able to figure out where the game was heading"
"I feel confident and physically very well," explained Llull, who was the top scorer in the win over Bayern.
Chus Mateo and Sergio Llull analysed the Real Madrid win over Bayern Munich in Euroleague game 14. The coach said: "I'm happy because you have to develop the game as we did and we were able to figure out where it was heading. In the end, we got a comfortable win but it wasn't easy during the game."
"Bayern did a good job defensively. They didn't let us make the passes that we are normally capable of making. We ended up with five assists at half-time and for us it's key to pass the ball well. Then, we were much better defensively and in terms of our offensive pace in the second half. We shot more freely and found better shots."
The team's attitude
"We're doing a good job, are full of confidence and we don't despair when things aren't going so well. And when things are going well, we play well, we pass the ball around... The only thing we have to do is think about working towards the next day, that tomorrow there will be another game because this doesn't stop. Today we'll enjoy this victory but we're already thinking about the next game."
Llull: "We improved in the last quarter"
"Bayern is a very solid team, they are still growing and it was hard for us. In the last quarter we were able to move the ball better, we improved in defence and rebounding and we were able to get the win."

"I feel very good, confident and physically well. It's important at a certain age to be able to do things. I always try to contribute to the team in whatever the coach asks me to do."
