Real Madrid coach Chus Mateo gave his thoughts on the win over Joventut in round four of the league: "We began with a lack of intensity at the back but, after the break and some consideration, we came out and played with much more intense in all areas, not just in defence, but also in rebounding, and we put in a great second half, both at the back and up top".
"We took a step forward defensively and showed more consistency. We're still in the process of discovering our game, we've got a tough week ahead of us and we will keep up the work we've been doing".
Defence
"You go in like a machine and think that by putting on your jersey you're going to defend like Superman but in the end everyone has to defend like a team and make up for the occasional shortcomings of some players. Ultimately we found a team defence that was very effective and we stopped Guy, who is a prolific scorer, and we responded in time. These lessons are very good for the team because in the end they help us to improve".
