Real Madrid coach Chus Mateo analysed his team’s victory over Maccabi in the re-arranged EuroLeague round sixth clash: "We produced a very serious performance, for the whole 40 minutes we were focused on countering all of Maccabi's strengths. Our attack was good and we managed to win a game that wasn't simple for us. I'm very pleased because we did a good job."
The different court factor
"Yes, of course. It's not easy to play in that atmosphere because the fans are very close to the court and the Maccabi fans are good supporters who get behind their players. I'm sure it would have made a difference, I have no doubt."
On Alocén
"He's been working well and will probably be in the squad for the next few games. We have to go step by step with him, he has to adapt to all the elements of the team. It'll be good for us because it'll allow other players to get more rest. He'll be an important player in the next games, for sure."
