Chus Mateo: “We must be focussed right from the start”
“We expect a Manresa side who will be at the top of their game”, said the coach.
Chus Mateo spoke ahead of Real Madrid’s league clash against Baxi Manresa at the WiZink Center Sunday, 12:30pm CET: “They’re a side we must respect. In previous years they’ve given us problems at home and now they need a win. When a team has ambition and the desire to win and plays Real Madrid, we can expect an opponent at the top of their game.”
“We can' t go on the court assuming that the position in the table indicates anything beyond one team having won more than the other. They’ve got players who are very familiar with the league and some top-level scorers. They play well in one-on-one situations, their point guards provide a lot of assists and they have quick centers. We must be prepared, aware of these situations, defend well and be focused right from the start.”

“We’ve played a series of games in a row and you can notice that exertion in the players. Deck didn't play the other day and we have some other players who are feeling tired. We will see who’ll be the 12 players who feature tomorrow.”
