Chus Mateo: “We knew they were going to be tougher”
NEWS.
Chus Mateo, Pablo Laso’s assistant coach, analysed the second matchup of the final series at the Palau: "It was a really hard-fought game, we both knew that we had to apply energy and intensity, and that prevailed over the scoring accuracy. We didn't score much. And there weren’t many assists for each team, because it's difficult to move the ball around like that. We started the game very well mentally, but it's not easy to win here. We had the possibility and even on a few occasions Barça moved ahead and we were able to come back".

"I think we’re in good shape at the moment, despite the disappointment of the defeat. Intensity is essential. We’re ambitious and that proves our character. The pain of not winning the game will help us to do better in the next one. We hope we can come out strong in Madrid and try to win the first game”.

Toughness
“It's a battle between two teams who compete to the max, who demand the best from each and every one of the players. We defended well and lacked a bit of offensive efficiency like we displayed in the first game. We knew they were going to be tougher”.
