Chus Mateo assessed Real Madrid's victory over Valencia Basket. The coach said: "We're delighted with the win because La Fonteta is not an easy court. We controlled the pace of the game and knew how to move the ball. We clearly understood how to play with players who were tired from recent game stress and we kept up our competitive pace to beat Valencia."

"We understood when to run and when to stop in the game. It was a very complete game and we managed to stop Dubljevic and his outside shooters. We were able to win the tie with a high level of solidity despite not having a brilliant game. Yabusele is re-establishing himself by playing basketball, which is what he does best."

"We've had a lot of games in a short space of time and we have another one coming up in Gran Canaria. At the moment, the boys are realising that there are no excuses and that we have to play. It's not easy because they need to rest, to be fresh and they don't have that recovery time. We're ambitious and we don't want to lose a single game."
