Chus Mateo: “We improved as the game went on'
NEWS.
The Real Madrid coach Chus Mateo assessed the team's win over Surne Bilbao Basket on matchday 22 in the league: "We came through a game at home despite having a few big names out. We started off with a little lack of focus, we lost a lot of balls and were poor defensively but gradually we began to improve. Sometimes with so many games, your attention span is a bit limited, but the team got back on track and we were good in defense throughout the first three quarters”.

"Everyone is doing a great job but it's true that Abalde was superb in offense and defense. Ndiaye deserves all the credit because when you're training but not playing much, to step up like that all of a sudden is difficult. He was really switched on and his intensity helped us out a lot”.

Williams-Goss
"We'll wait for the tests but he felt a twinge in his abductor so we'll see how he is. With Llull out and Adam Hanga struggling, we really need Williams-Goss. Sergio Rodríguez is playing really well and  Abalde has played there in the past. We'll play with the guys we have available and we'll see what we can do”.
