Chus Mateo: “We have to maintain our energy levels and focus”
“We have to change our mindset for a tough game against Obradoiro”, said the coach.
Chus Mateo spoke ahead of the clash between Real Madrid and Monbus Obradoiro in Santiago, on matchday 21 the Liga Endesa Sunday, 5pm CET: “We have to maintain our energy levels and focus. It's important for us to win in these fixtures because they allow you to stay up there and keep aspiring to be as high up as possible at the end of the league season. We have to change our mindset from the EuroLeague, even though we have two games next week coming up and we want to be at the top of the standings.”
“We have to make sure we give it the importance and energy it deserves in what is not going to be a straightforward match. They are ninth but they've been in very good form all year, especially at home. We have to be vigilant because it's not an easy court, it never has been. They also have the motivation of making it into the top eight. We know it's going to be a tough game.”
“We have to try to compensate for the loss of Tavares, who is so important for us. We have to try to make up for it with other elements. They have players at a high level and they're a really complete team. They work well in attack and we have to be prepared to make sure we do things right.”
