Chus Mateo: “We have to defend consistently well against Unicaja”
“We'll have to be prepared both physically and mentally for it”, added the coach ahead of the clash.
Real Madrid coach Chus Mateo spoke ahead of his side’s game against Unicaja, on matchday 31 of the Liga Endesa 12.30 pm CET: “It's going to be a very tough and demanding game. We have to make things simple to get the win. Try to go back to basics, to be able to defend consistently well, to defend one-on-ones well and to stick together as a team.”
“We mustn't allow them to get on the counter-attack and we mustn't turn over too many balls. If we are solid in these areas, it'll be easier. We'll have to be prepared both physically and mentally for it.”
Deck’s injury
“We're trying to recover from a huge physical and emotional effort, especially because of the loss of Deck, who is a significant loss for the team and we're sad for him.”
