Chus Mateo: “We had some good shots that turned the tide”
NEWS.
Chus Mateo looked back on Real Madrid's win against Bilbao Basket away from home during the press conference: 'In spite of the leads in the first and third quarters, it was tough for us to get away because our opponents battled for every ball. We had some good shots, however, and they also had some good shots, that made the difference. It was a very entertaining game for the spectators. What's more, our players are used to tense moments'.

'It was a very hard-fought game. Bilbao Basket are a team that showed a lot of heart and fought for the game. They came back into the game twice, pushing hard and playing very good basketball'.

17 wins in a row
'There is a lot of credit to be taken for these 17 wins because of the focus from my players. It's very difficult to switch the mindset of playing one day in the Euroleague and another in the league, and against different teams. It was a game today that required us to be mentally focused on winning and Bilbao Basket made it very tough for us'.

'Some days we'll win and others we'll lose. This spurs the opponents on to want to beat us and we need to stick to our work regardless of what's happened in previous games'.

Campazzo's performance
'Campazzo is a very important player and he is key for us. Musa and Tavares have also been here before. We have very good quality players. Facu was brilliant today. His willingness to compete, together with the rest of the players, fills me with the confidence to know that we have options to win every game'.
