Chus Mateo: “These are two incredibly intense weeks and every player is ready"
“I feel good and I'm slowly getting back into the swing of things," said Alocén, one of the top performers in the win over Río Breogán.
Chus Mateo and Carlos Alocén assessed Real Madrid's win over Río Breogán on matchday 12 in the League: The coach was pleased with the victory: “All of them train to play. They have to be ready and I think they are. We've got two incredibly intense weeks. The last game was hugely demanding in Istanbul and now we're in for another tough seven days. We're heading to Athens and we're up against two greats of European basketball. Then it's Gran Canaria, it's relentless. We have to be ready."
“Breogán are a combative team, they fight hard. Today, they will have seen the gap at a particular time and perhaps they didn't keep going until the end, but they're a team you have to be extremely wary of because they're highly competitive."
Alocén: “These minutes are worth their weight in gold”
“I'm feeling good and the important thing for me is to keep progressing. I'm getting back into the swing of things, particularly in training. These minutes are worth their weight in gold to me and I try to make the most of them. I'm still not quite at the level of my teammates but that will come."
“There are really young guys here who are fantastic. I still consider myself fairly young, not so much as four years ago but they are hugely talented and they are keen to make an impression. Hugo González, Diagne, Ndiaye… we're really lucky to have them here with us and I'm pleased everyone got to contribute, score points and put in a good performance. Now we have to keep looking forward."
