Chus Mateo: “There are three Regular Season games left and we have to do the best we can'
“We've faced Valencia several times this season and they have made life hard for us,' said the coach.
Chus Mateo appeared on the eve of matchday 32 in the League as our team gear up to face Valencia Basket Friday, 9:00pm CEST: “We don't have time to enjoy our wins or cry too much when we lose. Tomorrow at 9:00pm we're playing Valencia and we'll try to switch our focus to that as quickly as possible. We have three League games left and we have to do the best we can."
“We have already come up against them several times this season and they always make life difficult for us. They are not an easy team to beat. They have talented, dedicated guys who know how to play the game. We'll have to put in a disciplined, well-rounded performance in Valencia because it's a tough place to go."
Goals
“There is a lot to play for. It won't be easy to take first place, or even second, with how things are shaping up. We're going to fight to do it but if for whatever reason we don't make it, we still won't give up. We're going to fight for the league title regardless of whether we get home-court advantage in one or two playoffs. We'll try and give it our all, as ever."
Feelings
“This closing stretch of the season has not been easy physically, given how tight the calendar is, how little time we have to recover and the injuries we've picked up. We'll try not to focus too much on numbers, injuries... What matters is that we do a good job. Whoever is out on court, we'll be giving it 100%”.
