Chus Mateo: 'The team's level of commitment is amazing'
'We played a great game right from the start against a very capable opponent,' said Llull.
Chus Mateo and Sergio Llull assessed the team's win over Monaco in the ninth round of the Euroleague. The coach said: "I'm happy because of the commitment of the guys to play with their teammates, to understand the collective game, to help each other and to work hard in their individual head-to-heads and to work together so that there are no defensive holes."
"I'm also happy about the 27 assists we managed to achieve. We pass the ball well, keep it moving and can score big. We only missed three two-point shots today, which I'm also very happy about."
Llull: "We really enjoy it when the Palacio gets behind us"
"We played a very complete game, a great game from the start against a tough opponent who has very physical players with a lot of talent. The team was very good in defence and moved the ball around very well."
"You really enjoy it when the Palacio is in full swing and it's against a great team like Monaco. We came out very motivated. Having fun is one of the keys. We're training well and in a positive frame of mind. We need to keep it up, although we know we haven't done anything yet and that the important things will be decided at the end of the season. This run has a lot of merit because we've played against great teams on difficult courts."
