Chus Mateo: “It’s not easy to win a tight match here”
NEWS.
Chus Mateo, Walter Tavares and Sergio Llull analysed the team’s victory away against Bayern Munich. The coach had the following to say: “It was a really tough game, and we knew it was going to be like that. They're very good from the perimeter and today they shot better, and even did so with the big players. We did really well to grab the lead at the end of the game because it’s not easy to win a tight match here.”

"In the closing minutes these things can happen in a match. Sometimes they happen. It's not easy to talk about them, but sometimes they happen, and we've got to be ready to tackle this kind of thing. The unsportsmanlike foul wasn't very clear but the officials do their job and it's not easy for them, I have great respect for them. It's what they awarded and that's fine".

Tavares: “It’s difficult to win in Germany”
"We're delighted. It's always difficult to win here in Germany. We were focused, we knew we were up against a great team. It's been a long day. This victory is great for us. At half-time we said that we had to be more active, to get closer to them because they were superb from three-point range.

Llull: “We showed great intensity”
"We didn't play great, but we showed great intensity. It's a difficult court and we did a bit better than them in the last seconds and that helped us get the win. We're pleased. At half-time, we talked about dealing with their three-pointers and defensive rebounds. I think we did really well in the second half. We weren't at our best in attack, but we scored four points more than them and we’re delighted about that. Now we have to focus on the Zalgiris game."
