Chus Mateo: 'It was a great team effort'
'We were all focused for 40 minutes,' Musa said after the win against Zalgiris.
Real Madrid coach Chus Mateo was satisfied after Real Madrid's win over Zalgiris Kaunas on matchday 25 of the Euroleague: "We were able to play with the intensity we needed and for that reason we were able to run, control the rebound, score a lot of points inside and play in the paint. It's a good win because we won the last three quarters and because we played good defence. It was a great team effort. That's the line to follow. We have to take it step by step, think only about the next game and put all of our effort into it."
"We played a very good game. We came out a bit hesitant in defence, but then we were solid, we didn't have any lapses and our attitude was very good. We understood their way of playing well and I'm happy because everyone contributed. We're still at the top of the Euroleague."
On Yabusele's substitution
"He sprained his ankle and the lateral ligament seems to be affected, we'll have to wait for the tests, but I hope it's nothing serious."
Musa: "The team played very well"
"I'm very happy with the win. The team played very well and we were focused for the whole forty minutes. We want to continue in the same way and we're back to winning ways. We like to compete. It's a difficult month but we always look forward."
