'We dominated the rebounds and controlled the game well.' Tavares, MVP in the win over Fenerbahçe, explains.
Chus Mateo and the two most outstanding players in the victory against Fenerbahçe, Tavares and Musa, reflected upon the game. The coach praised the team's work on an incredibly difficult court 'I am very proud of the guys and the effort they put in in both defence and attack. We played well offensively, our percentage was very high, we chose our shot options very well and we managed to be very successful in shooting'.
Tavares: 'It was a team effort'
'I think the shooting percentage was down to the whole team because they gave me the ball well under the hoop so it was easier to score. They did most of the leg work and I just had to finish it off. Winning the rebounds means having control of the game. We dominated the rebounds and that means we controlled the game very well and that really helped us win'.
Musa: 'We beat a great team'
'The best thing we can take away from today’s performance is how we combined in offence throughout the game. We are proud of the chemistry we have built between us. We will look to keep that dynamic over our next games. We are proud of this win. It was a very tricky game against a great team.'
