Chus Mateo: “I'm pleased with the win and the teamwork”
“The team's strength is what gives us the chance to win,” said the coach after the win over Zalgiris.
Chus Mateo spoke in the press room at the WiZink Center after Real Madrid‘s victory against Zalgiris on matchday three of the EuroLeague: “I'm pleased because we've picked up another win. There's still a lot of work to do but it's important to position ourselves at the top. We have to keep the same mentality we have shown. The game wasn't under control until the end, though we had several moments in the second half when we were over 10 points ahead. That was down to our teamwork in defence, in rebounding against one of the most aggressive sides in this area and in one-on-one situations.”

For me, it's important to maintain this offensive tempo, to keep running and moving the ball. We were also able to defend well against a very dangerous team, who are playing really well.”
