Chus Mateo: “I'm happy to take the win at a difficult place to come'
“We were clinical in the moments we needed to be,' highlighted Campazzo, the top performer in the win over Granada.
Chus Mateo and Facundo Campazzo assessed Real Madrid's win at Coviran Granada. The coach explained: “It was a difficult game from a mental perspective. We also started very strongly and that saw us take our foot off the gas a little bit. Granada are very good offensively, they post a lot of points and they realized they had a chance to get into the game and they did that in the second half. We switched back on in the closing stretch, we defended better and brought their numbers down. I'm happy to take another win from a place where we always find it very difficult to come."
“We felt it a bit, having not played midweek, but we'll be right back at it again with four games in eight days, so we have to be ready for tough games like this. It's another victory but it's in the past now."
Campazzo: “The game was decided on small details”
“It wasn't an easy game. Playing in Granada with the fans putting the pressure on… We knew it would be hard. They play with real confidence here. We relaxed a bit too much in the third quarter and threw away the lead we'd built up. The small details made a big difference in the game. We were clinical in the moments we needed to be, we managed to correct our mistakes and now we have to keep it up."
“We were shooting well from the three-point line but they just weren't going in. We knew if we just kept going, that would change. We have players who can make those three-point shots, so we just have to play to put them in good positions to shoot. I felt good on the pick & roll and I was trying to read the game. Musa played brilliantly, and Causeur too in the first half."
