Chus Mateo spoke about Real Madrid's game against Joventut in round nine of the league: "We started well but got worse as the game went on. We had a fairly acceptable first half while we were successful from three-point range. Joventut defended well and were very good on the paint. When we weren't successful from the three-point line they came back. There was a key moment in the third quarter with a big run for them. Then it evened out at the end, but our opponent was a worthy winner".
