Chus Mateo and Ndiaye analysed Real Madrid’s victory against Casademont Zaragoza on matchday two of the Liga ACB. The coach had the following to say: “There is still a lot of work to do but I always say that it's better to build by winning than by losing. Now, we need confidence, we need things to go well and we need the players to understand what Real Madrid is all about. The only thing I can tell them is to keep believing in themselves and to work hard. The seasons are long.”

“Real Madrid is the best thing that could happen to us. As a coach, I don't think there's anywhere else like it. The people who come here have to fully grasp what Real Madrid is all about and, if they don't do that from the start, they will understand it as they go along. Last year we had an extraordinary season. People enjoyed themselves a lot, we won a lot of games and now we have to do it differently. We're going to aspire to the trophies, but we're going to do things step by step.”

Ndiaye: “I'm ready for whatever the team needs”
“I'm young and I help the team with intensity and energy to be able to play well and win the game. I'm ready for whatever the team and the coach need. This year, we have to take it step by step. It's nice to play at home.”
