Campazzo: “We're in good shape at the start of the EuroLeague”
'Wearing this shirt is a responsibility, to always give your best and to achieve your goals,' said Llull.
Facundo Campazzo and Sergio Llull spoke in the press conference ahead of the clash against Baskonia, in round one of the EuroLeague Friday, 8.30pm CEST. The Argentine point guard had the following to say: “We're in good shape, playing good basketball and performing at a good level. We're generous and complete both in attack and defence. We have three players injured who didn't play in the last game and we'll try to make up for the absences with concentration and intensity. Baskonia always demand one hundred percent from you and this game will be no exception. They're playing well and it's an arena that exerts pressure with the fans.”
“We're a very experienced team that has been in these situations many times. We have a mix of experience and youth and this combination is coming together nicely. There have been few changes and I'm trying to adapt as quickly as possible to the dynamics of the team. You have to set short-term goals to reach the final objective as well as possible. Nowadays, in the EuroLeague you can be defeated both at home and away. If you aren't at your best, they can beat you. It'll be important to always go out focused and prepared. Baskonia will be a good test for us.”
Llull’s basket in the final
“I was in Serbia and I said he was going to do it again. They gave the ball to the right person for those moments. He was born with that knack. He knew he was going to take it and he was going to shoot.'
Pressure on his return
“I'm focused and putting my energy into the everyday work. I try to help the team to keep on scoring. When you wear this shirt there is a responsibility and pressure; it's up to us to make sure it's more positive than negative. We have to have confidence in our work and put our energy into it, focusing more on the collective than on the individual.”

First opponents
“They're an intense team at both ends. Howard is very dangerous and you can't switch off. Not only him, the rest of them are dangerous offensively. Whoever manages emotions, game time, control of rebounding and defence will have the best chance of winning.”
Llull: “When you win you want to do it again”
“The EuroLeague is special every year. It's a very tough competition and you're up against the best. It is exciting and motivating in equal measure. As the reigning champions, you want to defend the title even more. We'll try to fight to repeat that joyful feeling.”
On Campazzo
“They're right to call him the most important signing in the EuroLeague. We know what he brings us on the court. He gives us extra character, intensity and energy, as well as the quality he brings. It's great news to have him back and for him to help us achieve our objectives.”
Experience
“Of course, you need a mix of experience and youth to bring physical freshness to the team. In the team we have a combination of those two profiles. It's a well-balanced team. Most of them know what it's like to win a EuroLeague. When you win one, you want to win it again. We'll try to have a decent EuroLeague but we know there’s a long way to go.”
Objectives
“The demands of this club mean that you always have to win. Winning last year doesn't mean we have less pressure. Wearing this shirt is a responsibility, to always give your maximum and to achieve the goals. When we won, Florentino Pérez congratulated us, but he told us that we had to go for the next one. That's the level of demand of this club.”
