On this day 45 years ago, Real Madrid's basketball team got their hands on a seventh European Cup. Our team got the better of Maccabi in the final in Berlin on 27 March 1980 (89-85). Two years on from lifting the Sexta, the madridistas were crowned champions once again. That season, the squad coached by Lolo Sainz clinched the double, having won the League as well.
