Sergio Rodríguez and Yabusele spoke to the press ahead of the team's final training session before the Copa del Rey quarterfinals (6:00pm CET). The point guard discussed the key areas against UCAM Murcia: “Playing in the Copa del Rey is always hugely motivating. It's a special tournament for everyone and we're extremely excited, eager to prepare well and stay focused from the off. We know how hard it is under this format."

“The team is in good shape. We've understood that the journey is important since the start of the season. We know the Copa is one of the high points of the year, so we're focused and can't wait to get started. It's a trophy we've been thinking about since the beginning of the campaign and we're working hard to try and get our hands on it."

Title favourites?
“We're top of the League and the EuroLeague but we all understand what the Copa means. You have to be well prepared and fully focused because there have been plenty of upsets in this tournament over the years. Murcia compete really well, they're a good team that are enjoying a brilliant season. It's a key moment in the season; that's how we've prepared for it and how we're approaching the game."

Experience
“Knowing what it's all about, that experience always helps, but in this kind of format you have to be at 100% from the very start and play every minute in the best possible way."

Yabusele: “We have to stick together and make few mistakes”
“The team is in good shape, confidence is high. It's been a good week's work and we can't wait to play this evening. Murcia are a very physical team, just like all of them in the Copa. We have to stick together, make few mistakes and fight to the end."

“This is my third year at Real Madrid and I still haven't won the trophy yet. I really want to do so, and I know how important it is for the team. It will be a very physical game today but we know that if we do our jobs well, we've got a great chance of winning it."
