Chus Mateo: “It was a deserved victory”
NEWS.

Chus Mateo analysed Real Madrid’s victory over Morabanc Andorra on Liga Endesa matchday 11: "We put on a very practical performance against a team that alternated defences and changed the rhythm of our game at many moments. However, we still managed to score 85 points. We passed the ball well again and dominated the rebounding. Our players had good numbers in passing and rebounding and I'm pleased about that."

“They're a dangerous team, who know how to play to their strengths. The games are 40 minutes long and today with Morabanc we had to fight to win. I think we deserved to win, but Morabanc fought to win as well."

On Alocén’s return
"We were all very pleased to see him back, he's a very much loved person who all his teammates adore, his coaching staff love him very much too. We've seen what he's endured and what he's been through, almost two years trying to come back from an injury from which it's not always easy to return. Today we've seen him play his first minutes, take his first bounces of the ball in front of his home crowd, who have also shown their appreciation for him. We hope that he'll be able to continue playing.”

"He's very brave. He's a lovely lad, who always plays with a smile on his face. He's endured a lot these days when he hasn't been able to be with his teammates, but he's working normally. He's not going to give up, never. You can see that he's going for it, that he wants to impress and help his teammates to keep winning games.”

On resting Campazzo
"Having the option to choose allows us to rest some of the players who we'll have to make full use of in the next two weeks. Campazzo didn't play today, although he was ready if necessary. The return of Alocén is good news, but it's not because Campazzo played too many minutes during the season, it's not like that."

Yabusele's physical issues
"It's a knee injury that has recurred but not the same one, a knee that is a little bit damaged. We don't want to take any risks with him, we want him to work hard on his recovery and use him again when he's ready. We want him back, but most of all we want him to recover well. We'll be patient with him."
