17th anniversary of the EuroCup win
On 10 April 2007, Real Madrid were crowned champions after beating Lietuvos Rytas (75-87).
Today marks 17 years since Real Madrid's basketball team won the EuroCup. On 10 April 2007, our team got their hands on the trophy in the final hosted in the Belgian city of Charleroi. The madridistas got the better of Lietuvos Rytas in the showpiece, winning 75-87 as Charles Smith (19 points) was named MVP.
Felipe Reyes was the man tasked with lifting another European title for Real Madrid, whose continental record now reads 11 European Cups, 4 FIBA Saporta Cups, 1 FIBA Korać Cup, 1 EuroCup and 1 Copa Latina. The squad completed that season with a double, having already won the League.
